For 60 years, he was an ordained Church of God minister in various western Pennsylvania churches. He also worked in the Hammermill Paper Company's maintenance department for 30 years before retiring. In addition to being active in all aspects of church work, he enjoyed gardening. He was a member of the First Church of God in Erie for more than
60 years and was recently a member at Brookville First Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Norwat Adams; two daughters, Doris Conklin and her husband, the Rev. Philip Conklin, and Lillian G. Adams, all of Brookville, Pa.; two sons, Harold "Red," Adams of Brunswick, Maine and Norman P. Conklin and his wife, Judith, of Brookville, Pa.; one brother, Clarence Adams of Shreveport, La.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-granchildren.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
