Lillian G. Adams

Lillian G. Adams, 68, The Caring Place, Franklin, formerly of Franklin, died Thursday, November 9, 2006 at UPMC Northwest, Seneca, Pa.

She was born Jan. 30, 1938 in Erie, daughter of the late Rev. George T. and Dorothy M. Norwat Adams. She attended the Gertrude A. Barber Center and East High School.

She was a member of Fox Street Church of God, Franklin, and their Silver Fox Sr. Group, and a former member of First Church of God, Pine Ave., Erie.

Although handicapped from birth, she touched the lives of many people, especially children. She had served as nursery director of First Church of God, Pine Ave., Erie, for nearly forty years. Lillian enjoyed family gatherings, going to church, listening to gospel music, putting together jigsaw puzzles, playing table games and watching cooking shows on TV, her favorite cook being Emeril. She loved animals, especially Boston Bull Terrier dogs, having raised several over the years.


Survivors include a sister, Doris E. Conklin, and husband, the Rev. Philip R. Conklin, of Franklin, Pa., with whom she resided; brothers, Harold Adams and wife, Lyn, of Brunswick, Maine, and Norman Adams and wife, Judie, of Erie, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Fox Street Church of God, 229 Fox St., Franklin, Sunday from 3 p.m. until the time of service there at 5 p.m. The Rev. Philip R. Conklin, brother-in-law of Lillian, will officiate. Private burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Fox Street Church of God, 229 Fox St., Franklin, PA 16323. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St., Erie.
