Dean Durfey Erickson, 57, died Monday of a heart attack.

He was born on December 3, 1915, in Beaver Dam, Utah, a son of the late Michael (Cal) and Ethel May Durfey Erickson.

He married Hazel Weston on August 14, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solomized in the Logan LDS Temple.

Dean lived in Beaver Dam all of his life. He was an Elder in the Beaver Dam Ward.

Survivors include his widow, three sons and five daughters,
Cal Dean, Centerville, Utah; Mrs Kenneth Hansen (Lauretta), Pleasant View, Utah; Darrelll G, Logan, Utah; Mrs Marston Nelson (Stephanie), Beaver Dam, Utah; Cheryl Ann, Kee Annis, Holy June and Troy W, all of Beaver Dam, Utah; and six grandchildren.

Also surviving are one brother and six sisters, Michael, Beaver Dam, Utah; Vida Heaton, Logan, Utah; Mary Adams, Salt Lake City, Utah; Sylvia Gardner, Logan, Utah; Alta Archibald, Midvale, Utah; June Sargent, Logan, Utah; Shirly Cox, Dallas, Texas.

Burial was held in the Beaver Dam Cemetery, Beaver Dam, Utah.
