Barbara Eldridge Patterson, of Red Bank, TN went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 9, 2011.
She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed 82 love-filled years with family and friends. She was a member of Red Bank United Methodist Church, Carver-Tarwater Sunday School Class for most of her life. While living with Diane, she attended Milldale Presbyterian Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jack Patterson; parents, James and Annie Eldridge; and sister, Martha Dickerson. Barbara was survived by five children, Diane (Ronnie) Campbell, of Orlinda, TN, David (Michl), of Lake Wylie, SC, Elaine (Don) Jackson, of Knoxville, TN, Jim (Jenny) of Terre Haute, IN, and Doug (Jeanna), of Hixson, TN; seven grandchildren, Alethea (Greg) LaRowe, of Portland, OR, Emily Corbin, of Springfield, TN, Jonathan, Chris (Kate) and David Jackson, of Knoxville, TN, Morgan Patterson, of Terre Haute, IN, and Faith Patterson, of Hixson, TN; three great-grandchildren, Grant and Bryce Corbin, of Springfield, TN, and Ella Catherine Jackson, of Knoxville, TN.
Barbara is also survived by her twin brother, Robert (Jeannette) Eldridge; and sister, Betty Adair, of Chattanooga, TN; and brother, Don (Karen) Eldridge, of Houston, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Barbara's name to Red Bank United Methodist Church. Chapel service at 12:30 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2011, at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.
Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Family visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2011, at Lane Funeral Home, Coulter Chapel, Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN.
