found his death date per application for marriage license of Rachel Ann Engle and Joseph P. Miller in 1896 but it say May 20, 1892.

other found - Arcadia, KS newspaper said John Engle died on May 21, 1891 after his son James M. Engle learned a week ago.

James M. Engle's letter (John's son) in 1911 said his brothers: "Thomas, William, Hickermell(Adolphus H.), Hovis(John H.), Henry (Giles Henry), Lincoln, & Ira. His sisters: Nancy, Rebecca, Ida, Sara and Clara." From the Engle History and family records of Dauphin and Lancaster Counties compiled.(Please see his son, James to read his letter)
