Marjorie Alice Nolan, 65, of Washington Township, Whitley County, a retired registered nurse, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, at Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana in Fort Wayne.

The Fort Recovery, Ohio, native retired in 1998 from Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church and CASA of Whitley County. She had taught parenting classes for the Whitley County Health Department. Surviving are her husband, James A. Sr.; sons James A. Jr. of LaGrange, Ill., and Henry of Carmel; daughters Ann Moore of Huntertown, Jennifer Trumbull of Fort Wayne, Mary Cartwright of Fayetteville, Ga., and Amy Sholtis of Cadyville, N.Y.; a brother, Don Gehle of New Bremen, Ohio; sisters Joan Bruns of Coldwater, Ohio, and Vera Bills of Concord, Va.; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Columbia City, with calling one hour before services. Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Memorials are to CASA of Whitley County or Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana.
