Wayne T. Hendrickson, 62, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center.
A Visitation to celebrate Wayne's Life will be held on Saturday, November 12th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in North Lawn Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughter Holly Preston of Tucson AZ; his mother, Lydia Hendrickson, of Fort Dodge; 2 grandsons; sisters, Barb Weimer of Fort Dodge; Linda Flockhart (Bill) of Fort Dodge; Susan Anderson (Rick) of Fort Dodge; and Christine Smith (Frank) of Springfield, OR.
He was preceded in death by his father Wayne Hendrickson; and his daughter Kimberly Hendrickson.
Wayne Thomas Hendrickson was born on November 5, 1949 in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1967. Wayne then attended Iowa Central Community College. Following his education he moved to Phoenix, AZ; and was employed with the Reynolds's Aluminum Factory as a crane operator until returning to Fort Dodge in 1995. He loved to play his guitar and played with many bands around Fort Dodge and in Donna, TX during the winter months. Wayne truly enjoyed music and could also play the violin.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
