A 3 p.m. Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, November 10, 2011, at Woodbine Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Crews officiating. Interment will follow at the Mayodan Municipal Cemetery.
Ms. Angell formerly resided in Madison where she and her late husband, Marvin Angell owned and operated Gold Hill Farms. Later, she operated and managed farms from Boaz, AL to Dorchester, MD. In 1986, she returned home to North Carolina where she raised her two children.
For the next 21 years she was an employee and manager of Priddy's Restaurant in Mayodan. She loved working and cooking with her mom and dad as they fed delicious home-cooked meals to many friends, family, factory workers, construction workers and the town boys. She was passionate about her customers and loved by everyone for her wonderful character and personality.
She was a devoted member of Woodbine Baptist Church and loved her church family.
Ms. Angell was compassionate, warm, charismatic, feisty, fiery, spunky, charming, so playful and very graceful. She was also a loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister and nanny. She touched many with her life and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Earlene Priddy and her sister Johnnie Sue.
Ms. Angell is survived by her loving son, Jody, adoring daughter, Leanne, two grandsons who cherished her, Andrew and Lee; her great grandson and pride and joy, Ayden; her granddaughter Breanna; sister, Phyllis; brother, Paul, and best friend, Wanda Crews.
