George M. Beach, 82, Indian Hills Care Center, died Wednesday Aug. 18, 1982 at the care center after a short illness.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside. The Rev. M. Dwight Walker of the Moorhead (Iowa) Christian Church, formerly of Sioux City, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Akron, Iowa.
Mr. Beach was born Oct. 5, 1899, at Akron. A farmer, he lived in the Westfield, Iowa, and Chatsworth, Iowa areas before moving to Sioux City in 1956. He worked for Goodwill Industries in Sioux City for several years.
He married Loie Ethina Maynard on July 12, 1920, in Dakota City. Mrs. Beach died Nov. 2, 1975, in Sioux City.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Calvin of Vermillion, S.D., and Wayne Elwin of Sergeant Bluff; a sister, Lottie Coleman of Sioux City; seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
