If my research sources are correct, John Lawrence, Jr. who was a grandson of Elisha Lawrence who died in 1724, was a dcotor who graduated from Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania Medical School and ACCUSED of being a Loyalist. He was permitted to return to his home area after the war but had to forfeit his property.
