Bessie O. Buroker, 93, died Thursday evening in the Wesleyan Health Care Center.
She was born in Swayzee to the late William and Sarah (Pyle) Wilson. On Nov. 28, 1925, she married Delmus O. Buroker, who died Nov. 10, 1986. She had lived on a farm in Howard County and was a lifelong resident of Grant and Howard Counties.
Mrs. Buroker was a homemaker and a member of the Antioch Christian Church, Antioch Cheerful Workers and the Green Township Friends Club.
She is survived by three sons, Leland (Mary), Swayzee, Lindell (Jane), Marion, and DeMerle (Eleanor), Gaston; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Lawson; and three brothers, Vaughn, Luther and Orval Wilson.
Services will be held on Monday in Rybolt Funeral Home, Swayzee, with the Rev. Lowell Nicholson officiating. Burial will be in Thrailkill Cemetery, Swayzee.
