Darrell Evans, husband of Brenda Thompson Evans, passed away Monday, December 27th, 2010, at his residence. . Darrell was a 63 year old native of Owsley Co. He was born May 20, 1947, to the union of the late Florie (Burns) and Morris Evans. He was a retired track inspector for CSX Railroad, and was an avid Ford Mustang enthusiast who enjoyed car shows. Darrell is survived by two daughters, Ashley Evans, of Booneville, KY and Shelly (John) Wurtele, of Richmond, KY; a sister, Sandra (Howard) Price, of Booneville, KY.; two brothers, Gary Joe Evans, of Beattyville, KY; Terry Lee (Lindy) Evans, of Berea, KY; and by 1 very special grandson, Tyler Wurtele. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30th, at Booneville Funeral Home with James Kenneth Noble and Charlie Brewer officiating. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Pendergrass Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
