She attended Arlington Heights High School and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington, where she was an Alpha Chi Omega, with a bachelor's degree in math and a masters degree in business administration. She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas.
Survivors: Parents, Ernest and Margaret Ammons of Fort Worth; brothers, David Ammons and wife, Cindy of Chapel Hill, N.C., John Ammons and wife, Sandy of Dallas, Phillip Ammons and wife, Kay of Benton, Ark.; sister, Lynn Surovik and husband, Mike of Plano; and ten nieces and nephews.
