Jay is survived by his son, Tim Berry and his wife, Tammi, daughters, Kathy Hill and her husand, Jim and Melinda López and her husband, Eddie, all of Albuquerque, grandchildren, Tom Ficklin and his wife, Tiffany, Scott Ficklin and his wife, Jodie, Aaron, Lucas and Emily López, Kyle, Kevin and Korey Berry, great-grandson, Keegun Ficklin and sister, Lois Young of Arizona.
Jay was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy in July of 1998.
Jay served during World War II as a Naval Flight Instructor.
Jay retired in 1983 after 32 years with Exxon Corporation.
Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE at 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Services will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
