Mrs. Ruth Katherine Chapman, 89, of Hamburg, died Friday, November 4, 2011 at The Woods of Monticello. Mrs. Chapman was a native and resident of Hamburg for most of her life. She worked at Farmers Bank in Hamburg for 30 years and she was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was the pianist for many years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, T.W. Chapman in 1970; a grandson, Matthew Chapman; a granddaughter, Allise Etheridge Howell; her parents, Tom & Mary Dean Hundley and a sister, Mary Nichols.

She is survived by a son, Tom Chapman and wife, Linda, of Monticello; two daughters, Katherine Etheridge and husband, Young, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and Mary Ellen Pounds and husband, Fay, of Hamburg; two brothers, Joe & Chase Hundley; two sisters, Betty Jones and Sarah Wilf all of Little Rock; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are 11 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. David A. Moore, Rev. Carol Moore and Rev. Hammett Evans officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hamburg Food Pantry, c/o Mrs. Mary Williams, 816 Pine Ridge Drive, Hamburg, AR 71646 or to the Music Department of the First United Methodist Church, 202 S. Main Street, Hamburg, AR 71646.

Visitation will follow the memorial service in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church.
