Lydia May Horton, daughter of Luther Mathias and Martha (Morrell) Horton, was born Sep.16, 1885 in Schuyler County, Illinois and passed away Sep.16,1926 on her 41st birthday.
Her father died when she was four years old and as her mother was left to raise four children, Lydia went to live with her Uncle John and Aunt Addie Crawford.
Her mother died when Lydia was eleven years old.

She married Leland Ross Day Feb.24, 1909 and five boys were born to them, one dying in infancy.

She was converted in childhood and united with Union Baptist Church of Little Flock.
She suffered from an inward goiter for several years and fours years ago she took radium treatment at Holman Hospital and seemed much improved, but her heart was affected, which caused her sudden death.

She is survived by her husband, Leland of Emmett; four sons, Roy Horton, Leland Wayne, Ernest Luther and Alfred Ray; one sister, Amy Barrett of Littleton; two brothers, Levi of Wyoming and Luther Melvin, as well as a host of relatives and friends
