Helen Alice, "Nell", was the third child of George Cephas & Maria Elizabeth DULIN. She graduated from Randolph Macon Women's College in 1902, with a secondary education degree. She taught in several areas, one being Tazewell, Virginia. She also traveled to Europe. In about 1914 she went to work as a clerk for the very new IRS. She worked there until her retirement in 1951.
