Margaret was the daughter of Michael W. Whitmore (1788-a1851) and Ann Shepherd (1786-b1840). Her siblings were Elizabeth Whitmore, Catherine Whitmore Harrison (c1815-1895), Michael W. Whitmore Jr (c1818-b1860) and John Henry Whitmore.
Margaret Whitmore was first married to William Roberts Beveridge on 23 Dec 1830, John Littlejohn officiating. (Her husband could be John R. or William R. Both are listed in the marriage returns, same date. However, my mother remembers him being referrred to as "Uncle Billy Beveridge".) William died just before, or about the time of their son, Michael's, birth.
The widow Beveridge then married Alfred Dulin with Samuel Gover, Methodist Episcopal, officiating on 14 Sep 1843, Shelburne Parish. She and Alfred had six children, only two of whom survived to adulthood.
