Ripley, MS.- Lillian Opal Akins Little, 93, died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Tippah County Hospital Nursing Home in Ripley. She was born August 3, 1918 to the late Reed Morgan and Estella Carter Morgan. Mrs. Little was a member of Academy Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lyndle Davis officiating. Burial will be in Academy Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by four daughters, Lillian Smith, and Penny Daniels (Dana), all of Memphis, Judy Thompson (Jimmy) of Mooreville, and Nancy Akins of Olive Branch; five sons, Noal Akins of Oxford, Randy Akins (Dot), Benny Akins (Ann), Terry Akins (Carol), and Mike Akins (Tammy), all of Ripley; eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Morgan Akins, Shane Akins, Judd Akins, Chris Smith, Wayne Morgan, and Will White.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Noal Akins, and her second husband, Joe Earl Little; one daughter, Mary Wilkinson; one grandson, Josh Akins; and two brothers, Roy Morgan and Lloyd Morgan.
