B'ham News, Sat., Aug. 21, 1915: MRS. C. M. CARRAWAY DIES FRIDAY NIGHT
Mrs. Maggie Lacey Carraway, wife of Dr. C. N. Carraway, died Friday night at 8 oclock at the family residence in Pratt City. Mrs. Carraway had been sick for several months and her death was not unexpected.
Mrs. Carraway was a woman who was loved throughout Ensley, Pratt City and Birmingham, having been active in church work and her influence was felt all through the district.
Many girlhood schoolmates and friends from Ensley attended the funeral at the Methodist Church Saturday.
She is survived by her husband, three small children, Elizabeth, Dora May and Benjamin; her parents Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Lacey, and several brothers.

Mrs. Maggie Lacey Carraway, wife of Dr. C. M. Carraway, died last night at 8 o'clock at the Carraway Infirmary, Pratt City, after a lengthy illness. She was one of the most popular young matrons of Pratt City, where she had resided all her life. The deceased is survived by her husband, three small children, Elizabeth, Dora May and Benjamin; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Lacey; two brothers, Joe Lacey and Frank Lacey, and other relatives. The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at the Methodist church, the pastor, the Rev. W. P. McGlawn, officiating.
