I work full time as a visual resources curator and communications specialist. I also research my family history and the history of Alabama. I have found several faraway graves of ancestors via this website and am very grateful to everyone's efforts to help everyone else! I can take photo requests occasionally in the east Tuscaloosa area.
Please ask permission before using any photos of family members and ancestors I have contributed. (Feel free to use snapshots of gravestones.) As a courtesy and to help other researchers, any photos you use from any site should always be credited. If a photo is from a publication, please get permission from the publisher before posting it.
In family history research, it is so important to cite our sources for every bit of information we use to build our family tree. Here's a great resource: https://www.evidenceexplained.com/content/evidence-explained-citing-history-sources-artifacts-cyberspace
