Clara Christine Kroshus was born 13 Mar 1888 on the home farm in Mary Township of Norman County, MN.

Her parents were Halvor Anderson Kroshus and his wife Kjerstie Gulbrandsdatter Melbostad. Clara was the 9th of 14 children born to Halvor and Kjerstie.

She was baptized 2 Apr 1888 at the Bethania Lutheran Church rural Perley. Her sponsors were: Mr. and Mrs. Ole Gaare, Albert J. Kroshus and Maren Bjerke.

She attended local rural schools. Clara lived in Los Angeles, California for many years where she was employed as a personal maid and companion.

She passed away 25 Apr 1977 at the age of 89 in San Gabriel, CA. Funeral services for Clara were held 30 Apr 1977 at the Bethania Lutheran Church, rural Perley. Pall bearers were: Norman Anderson, Marvel Kroshus, Clayton Berg, Donald Kroshus, Cecil Kroshus, Millard Olson, Hans Tufte and Kenneth Kroshus.
