A native of Bulloch County, she had lived in Savannah with her daughter, Mrs. J. C. Thaggard, for the past 12 years.
Survivors, in addition to her daughter, are three sons, T. E. Rushing of Statesboro, John S. Rushing of Winter Park, Fla., and Orlie Rushing of Los Angeles, Calif.; one step-daughter, Miss Elenea Rushing of Savannah; a brother, T. L. Waters of Pembroke; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rushing were held Tuesday, December 4, at 2:30 p.m. from the Chapel of Barnes Funeral Home with Rev. Clyd Harvard officiating, assisted by Dr. J. Robert Smith. Burial was in the Ephesus Church Cemetery. Nephews served as active pallbearers.
Barnes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
