Carrie A. Everett, wife of Rev. S. P. Everett, a Baptist minister of this town, died Thursday morning. She had been ill for 11 weeks. Her illness began with an attack of the grip, and developed into bowel trouble. She was 68 years old and was born in Heath, the daughter of Philander Kendrick. Mrs. Everett first married Royal W. Stone of Readsboro, and they lived in Rowe where Mr. Stone had a saw-mill, until the death of Mr. Stone. Her marriage to Mr. to Mr. Everett took place 26 years ago. Mr. Everett at that time was a pastor at Colrain and afterwards held pastorates at South Hampton, N. H. and Ayer, Mass. Four years ago he moved to Greenfield. Mrs. Everett leaves by her first husband one daughter, Mrs. Jonathan E. Davenport of Colrain, and by her second a daughter, Miss Etha M. Everett of Greenfield, who is very ill with lung trouble. The funeral is private, and will be held to-day , at 12 o'clock, with burial at Colrain.
