ESTEEMED RESIDENT OF MOODY HOLLOW, NEAR CORYVILLE
Mrs. Edith Moody Mosier, 57, prominent and highly esteemed resident of Moody Hollow, near Coryville, died at, 6:00 o'clock Monday evening in an Olean hospital. Mrs. Mosier had been ill for several months.
Born in Moody Hollow, Eldred township, July 7, 1879, Mrs. Mosier graduated from Lock Haven State Teachers' College. Mrs. Mosier taught school at Fowler Brook and Farmers Valley, following her graduation.
She was united in marriage to Ray Mosier of Coryville.
Prominent in community activities, she was a regent of the Canoe Chapter, D.A.R, Port Allegany, a member of the OES, of Port Allegany, the Farmers Valley Grange and the Valley Garden Club. Mrs. Mosier was a director of the Eldred consolidated schools and a member of the Coryville Ladies' Quartet. She was affiliated with the Coryville United Brethren Church.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Paul Mosier, of Coryville; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Hawks of Detroit, MI and Miss Bernice Mosier of Pittsburgh, and three grandsons, Ray and William Hawks and Joe Mosier.
Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the pastor. Rev. H. H. Atkins, officiating.
Burial will be in Moody Hollow Cemetery.
