Constableville ~ At the home of his daughter Mrs. George Finster, Rockville Center, New York, occurred the death of Jacob Powell, of Constableville. Mr. Powell had been in failing health since January. He was born in town of West Turin, January 1, 1845, son of Joseph and Mary Powell. His life has been spent in or near this place where he followed the occupation of farmer, retiring twelve years ago. In February 1876, he was united in marriage to Miss Catherine Gaffney, of Lyons Falls, who died in 1918. Two daughters were born to them, Elizabeth passed away in 1905. Since the death of his wife he has spent most of his time with his daughter at Rockville Center, returning to this village for the summer. He was a member of the St. Mary's church in this place. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. George Finster, two grandsons, George Jr, and Paul Finster, of Rockville Center; one sister Mrs. Veronica Doyle, of Utica, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held at Rockville Center, Thursday morning, and the body was met by Undertaker, Clarence Trainer at Boonville, Friday morning and interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery.

Constableville ~ At the home of his daughter Mrs. George Finster, Rockville Center, New York, occurred the death of Jacob Powell, of Constableville. Mr. Powell had been in failing health since January. He was born in town of West Turin, January 1, 1845, son of Joseph and Mary Powell.
