From the NY Times June 10 1861: "JENKINS. -- In Brooklyn, on Sunday morning, June 9, THOMAS JENKINS, formerly of Hudson, N.Y., in the 85th year of his age.
The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, this (Monday) afternoon, June 10, at 3 o'clock, from the residence of
his son-in law, Robert Sarjeant, Clinton-av., between Gates and Green, without further invitation."
