Long-time Estacada resident, Patricia Anderson, passed away on October 27, 2011, at the age of 71.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Estacada Funeral Chapel.
Patricia Lash was born March 22, 1940 in The Dalles, Oregon to Bert and Wilda (Dixon) Lash. She was raised there and later moved to Portland. Pat married Stan Cheek in 1959 and they made their home in Portland where they started their family. In 1966 they moved to a farm in Estacada where she was able to fulfill her dream of raising horses. Stan passed away in 1994 and in 1996 Pat married John Anderson. They continued living in Estacada until her death.
Pat had a tremendous passion for horses and for people who love horses. She is known across the country as a dedicated and devoted horsewoman.
Pat is survived by her husband, John Anderson of Estacada; daughters, Janis Thomas of Battle Ground, Washington, and Carin Mitchell of Palm Coast Florida; two grandchildren; and John's children Todd, Dean, Scott, Terri, and Craig.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (aspca.org/donate).
