SARONVILLE - Saronville resident, Barbara Lynn Nunnenkamp, 59, died Oct 29 at the Henderson Community Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Services were Nov 1 at St Mark's Lutheran Church in Sutton with Pastor Wayne Oblender officiating. Burial was in the Sutton cemetery.

Mrs Nunnenkamp was born June 26, 1949, in Geneva to George and Mildred (Krejdl) Cruse. She received her education in Geneva and graduated from Geneva High School in 1967. She furthered her education at Lincoln School of Commerce graduation in 1969. On June 20, 1969, she married Kenneth Nunnenkamp at the Methodist church in Geneva and to this union four children were born.

They resided in Sutton and Saronville before making their home on a farm near Saronville in 1976. Mrs Nunnenkamp was a homemaker and farm wife until her children graduated from school when she began her employed outside of the home. She was employed with State Farm Insurance in Sutton and most recently was the manager of Junction Motor Speedway. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.

She was a member of St Mark's Lutheran Church in Sutton where she served as Organist, Sunday school teacher, Pioneer leader and was the Camp Jefferson kitchen Manager for many years. She was a 4-H Leader for the Little Mustangs and helped with many other 4-H activities. She was still an active member of the FFA Alumni Associations and sponsored many different FFA trips and activities. Mrs Nunnenkamp enjoyed sewing and never missed her children's sporting events especially horse shows and car races. She was always willing to help anyone or any organization that was in need of help.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth Nunnenkamp of Saronville; son Bradley (Dawn) Nunnenkamp of Saronville; daughters, Crystal (Jason) Friesen of Sutton; Michele (Justin) Spady of Aurora; Suzanne (Brian) Martin of Towanda, Kan.; grandchildren, Dawson Nunnenkamp of Saronville; Adilynn and Jadyn Friesen of Sutton; Chloe and Brianna Spady of Aurora; mother Mildred Cruse of Geneva; one brother Marc (Lynne) Cruse of Lincoln and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Cruse and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
