Mrs. Ernest Hallberg, 55, of 516 Vinton St., died Monday at 4 p.m. of a cerebral hemorrhage in Allen Memorial hospital where she became a patient a few hours before after being stricken suddenly.
A resident of Waterloo since 1941, Mrs. Hallberg was born Martha Rohrig March 7, 1898, at Stanley, Ia., daughter of Jacob and Minnie Rohrig.
Surviving besides her husband are her father, who resides at the Vinton St. address, as well as four brothers and seven sisters.
The brothers are John Rohrig, 1105 Colorado St., Ben of Aurora, Roy of Iowa City and Frank of Illiopolis, Ill.
The sisters are Mrs. Kathryn Cunningham, 706 Allen St., Mrs Elizabeth Jenks and Mrs. Rose Thomas of Aurora, Mrs. Tillie Griffiths and Mrs. Lena Nolte of Iowa City and Mrs. Alice Tucker and Miss Ruth Rohrig of Detroit, Mich. She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Fred.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Memories. The Rev. Bruno Schlactenhaufen, pastor of the First Lutheran church will officiate. Burial will be in Midwest Garden of Memories.
