BIG STONE GAP, Va. — Lucy B. Bishop, 91, passed away Friday (June 4, 2010) at Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Big Stone Gap, Va.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Big Stone Gap.
She was preceded in death by her husband, McKinley Bishop; a son, Gary Lee Bishop; and her parents, Orlane and Lauinia Broussard.
She is survived by daughter, Carol Bishop of Big Stone Gap, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Robert (Butch) Bishop and Judy of Big Stone Gap, Va.; five grandchildren; Robert Bishop Jr., Julie V. Bishop Terry, Walter M. Scott and wife, Missy, Christopher Bishop and wife, Tanna, Josh Bishop and wife, Joy; 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Roy A. Green Funeral Home.
Mass of the resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Tim Drake officiating.
Burial will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
