LeRoy S. Arment, 71, Chicago, a native of Windsor and former Muncie resident, died Saturday morning at Swedish Convent Hospital in Chicago after a long illness.
He was associated with F.W. Woolworth Co., Montgomery Ward, and Allied Corp., while living in California and Washington. He was a member of Harmony Lodge, F&AM, Dixon, Ill., and Al Malakiah Temple, Los Angeles. He and his family lived in Chicago since 1960.
Surviving are his wife, Marie Francis Arment; two daughters, Beverly and Julia Arment, Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Clarice Thompson, Lafayette, and Mrs. Ruth Scott, Largo, Fla.; and two brothers, Ira L. Arment, Muncie, and Vernon Arment, New Milford, N.J.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Meeks Mortuary with Rev. William D. Meddock officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and before services Tuesday.

Leroy S. Arment had a first wife who died at age 26, She was Flora Muriel Rickard, known as Muriel (1908-1935). She was born in Negaunee, Michigan, to Cornish immigrants, Edwin A. Rickard and Mary Ann Hooper Rickard. She died in St. Louis, St. Clair, Ill., and was buried in Memorial Cemetery in Evanston, Ill.
