"August Haslag, 82, Frankenstein, died early Monday morning, February 11, 1974, at Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson Ciyt.

"Mr. Haslag was born Dec. 6, 1891 at Loose Creek, a son of Herman and Mary Mertens Haslag. He was married November 4, 1913 at Franekenstein to the former Miss Gertrude Stiefermann, who survives at the home.

"Educated at the parish school at Loose Creek, Mr. Haslag was a retired farmer and stock raiser. He was a life long member of Our Lady of Help Catholic Church, Frankenstein, and the Holy Name Society. Mr. Haslag was active in Frankenstein community affairs.

"Other survivors include two sons, Sylvester F. Haslag, Frankenstein, and Raphael A. Haslag, Linn; Mrs. Cyrus Dorweiler, Linn, two brothers, Edward Haslag and Conrad Haslag, both of Loose Creek; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

"Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Our Lady of Help Catholic Church in Frankenstein, with the Rev. Joseph Lorenz officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery of Frankenstein."
