Suspect Arrested. Alleged Burglary. Gildford Man Believed to Have Been Mixed Up in Case in Which Boy Was Shot.
Havre, Feb. 22--Ova Brower, a farmer living north of Gildford, was arrested in Havre Thursday by Sheriff Bickle of Hill County on the charge of burglary in the first degree. Brower is accused of being associated with the 17-year-old boy, Bennett Wynne, who was shot and killed on the night of Feb. 9th at the Mark Daly place while in the act of stealing grain and other articles from the Daly farm. The boy was killed by the caretaker of the Daly farm.
At the time of the killing of young Wynne, a team and wagon was found hitched near the Daly place, but the driver had disappeared. Deputy Sheriff Roberts has been steadily at work on the case since the boy was shot, and now believes he has found the party that led young Wynne astray.
