Roger John Kaiser, 75, a resident of Gulf Shores passed away Friday at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope. Roger was the son of John Kaiser, Sr. and Bernice Larson, raised in Elberta and a lifelong resident of Baldwin County. A devoted husband of 55 years to Janie Legenstein and loving father of four children-Randy (Donna) Kaiser, Sandy (Mike) Moore, Tammy (Robert) Kirkland and Jennifer Schepker. Roger celebrated the lives of eight grandchildren: Brad, Matt, Stefanie, Kristen, Zack, Trey, Tyler and Sam. Roger's journey led him from farming, to owner and operator of a farming equipment dealer-ship in Foley. His passion for sales eventually led him to his 25 years as a real estate agent with Kaiser Realty in Gulf Shores. He was active in many leadership, community and church positions some of which included: St. Benedict School, St. Bartholomew Church, President of Foley Optimist Club, Kiwanis Club and a Knight with Our Lady of the Gulf Church. Roger was proud to serve his country in the National Guard in his younger years. A special love was always treasured between Roger and his five surviving brothers; John, Tom, Herb, Leonard and Glen. Roger was preceded in death by his beloved parents, brother (Donald), sister (Bernice) and son-in-law (Doug Schepker). Funeral services and Mass will be Tuesday, November 1st at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Gulf Shores with time of visitation an hour and a half prior to the service. Father Robert Fulton will be officiating. Burial will follow at Prince of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Elberta. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Benedict Catholic School, P.O. Drawer 819, Elberta, AL 36530. Arrangements made by Pine Rest Funeral Home, Inc.
