John Spillane Jr., 88, passed away Sunday at Sonora Regional Medical Center from cancer.
He was the son to the late Anna and John Spillane.
John worked as an airline mechanic for TWA for 39 years.
He and his wife, Eva, vacationed and lived in various locations throughout Calaveras County since 1966, including Snowshoe Springs, Big Trees and Forest Meadows.
Mr. Spillane is survived by his children, Karen Grant, of Simi Valley, and Christina Spillane, of Orlando, Fla.; and stepchild, Michael Butera, of Modesto.
