Amos Armstrong Anderson,of Mission Hills, Calif., formerly of Punxsutawney, died Saturday, October 31, 1998 at Astoria Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Sylmar, Calif.
He was born August 12, 1922 in Horatio,
the son of Oscar & Grace Anthony Anderson.
He was married July 12, 1947 in Punxsutawney to the former Constance Irene Pierce.
A 1941 graduate of Punxsutawney High School & a member of the Pentecostal Church in Punxsutawney until moving to California in 1955.
He was employed by the University of California
at Los Angeles.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving relatives include his wife,
two sons:
Thomas Anderson of Panorama City, Calif.,
and James Anderson of Williamsport, Tenn:
six grandchildren & four great-grandchildren;
two brothers:
Emory Anderson of Lake Wales, Fla.,
and Wayne Anderson of Punxsutawney;
and two sisters:
Mrs. Paul (Bertha Mae) Snyder of Punxsutawney
and Mrs. Gene (Marjorie) Ferra of Punxsutawney. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Herman Anderson.
The Rev. Fay Cron will officiate.
Interment will be at Hopewell Cemetery.
