Funeral services for Columbus "Lum" Carr, 83, who died at his home near Ruth Chapel, two miles west of Livingston, on Tuesday, August 6 at 3 p.m. after a brief illness of pneumonia, were conducted by Elder Curtis Franklin at Ruth Chapel on Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, with burial in the cemetery there.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nan Simmons Carr, and four children, one son, Robert Carr, and three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Williams of Old Hickory, Mrs. Amos Poston and Mrs. Felix Stewart of Overton County.
He was a farmer and widely known in this section.
