ArLou McMullin Bateman passed away peacefully on October 22, 2011 at her home in Sugar Land, Texas.
She married J. Spencer Bateman on June 22, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple.
ArLou enjoyed spending time outdoors and liked to go with her family to the nearby canyons for picnics. A special time in her life was going for hikes with her friends.
ArLou liked to write, especially poems and was an avid reader. She enjoyed playing golf and traveling with her husband, Spencer, who preceded her in death.
She will be missed but lovingly remembered by her children: daughter, Holly B. Gough and son-in-law Steve E. Gough, son, Marc S. Bateman and daughter-in-law Patty Bateman, her grandchildren Dottie and Lily Bateman, and her brother Nyal McMullin.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), East Millcreek.
A private family interment will be held at the West Jordan City Cemetery. A memorial service will be held later in Sugar Land, Texas.
