Herman Griese
Ripon-A retired farmer, Herman C. Griese, 90, of 621 State St, died Thursday at Parkview Nursing Home after a lingering illness. He had lived in the Ripon vicinity all his life.
Born Jan 14, 1876 in the Town of Green Lake, he attended rural schools. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Ripon and was married to the late Emma Kobernik on April 17, 1901.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leona Rueckert and Mrs. William Nitz, both of Ripon; one sister, Mrs. Ida Hartman, Oshkosh; two brothers, Frank, Fond du Lac, and Will Griese, Ripon; two grandchildren. and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday at Butzin Funeral Home, Ripon, until 11 a.m. Monday, thereafter at Grace Lutheran Church Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Carl L Stubenvoll officiating Burial will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake.
