Colfax, Indiana March 26 - Mrs. Belle Jenkins, 74, a resident of Clark’s Hill for most of her life, died of a heart attack at 6 o’clock Sunday morning at the home of her son, John, in Chicago, with whom she lived. The deceased was born in Montgomery county January 20, 1859, the daughter of William and Lydia Bryant, and married Lorin Jenkins in October, 1887. She was a member of the Christian church, at Clark’s Hill. Surviving are two sons: McKinsey, of Clark’s Hill; and John, of Chicago; one daughter; Mrs. Manaryd Laughry, of Monticello; one sister, Mrs. Anne Clark, of Indianapolis: and one grandson. Funeral services, in charge of the Rev. A. W. Jackman, of Battle Ground, will be conducted at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon from the home of her son, McKinsey Jenkins, four miles south of Clark’s Hill, Burial will be in Union cemetery.
