COAL CREEK MARSHAL DIES
Thomas Williams, of Coal Creek, who has been in a very critical condition for the past few weeks with heart trouble, died at his home at 10 o'clock last night. He has been in poor health for a number of years. He has resided in Coal Creek since boyhood. He is survived by a wife and one little daughter and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry D. Williams reside in this city. He also has two brothers and two sisters. He has been holding the position of city marshal of Coal Creek for some time, but was obliged to give up his duties when he suffered his last attack. No arrangements for the funeral have been announced as yet.

PARADOX, FLORENCE, FREMONT COUNTY, COLORADO - MARCH 21, 1918
DEATH OF T. L. WILLIAMS
Thomas L. Williams, Clerk and Recorder and Marshall of the town of Coal Creek died at this home on last Sunday evening, after an illness extending over a period of several weeks, aged nearly 38 years.
....He had been injured in an accident many years ago, which left him unable to do any but the lightest kinds of physical labor, yet he enjoyed fair health until his recent ailment. Death was the direct result of a complication of diseases, heart and kidney trouble with their kindred affections.
....He leaves a wife and one daughter, aged 8 years.
.....The deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry D. Williams, of this city and in addition to his parents is survived by three brothers, William, of Glenco, Ohio; John of Colorado Springs, and Louis, and two sisters.
....He was a member of Diamondville Lodge No. 28 I. O. O. Fellows, of Diamondville, Wyoming.
....The funeral occurred from the residence, yesterday afternoon. Reverend Burchfield of the Presbyterian church, of Florence, preaching the funeral sermon at the home, while the Odd Fellows of Coal Creek, took charge of the ceremonies at the grave.
....The Board of Trustee of the town of Coal Creek, the Coal Creek Lodge of Odd Fellows and the United Mine Workers of America attended the funeral in a body.
....The following well known citizens of Coal Creek, acted as pall bearers: Robert D. Owens, John Frew, Jr., John Evans, C. Salvi, Robert Graham and William Calmette.
....Interment was in Highland cemetery.
