Monmouth Democrat, Thursday April 20,1916:
"Mrs. Lydia Patterson died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Caleb Parker on Throckmorton Street early Saturday morning after an illness of about three months. Indirectly, the cause of her death is attributed to worryment over the death of her son, Harvey Anderson, who was killed by Dr. D S Carey's automobile at the corner of Main and Throckmorton Streets and that of her son in law, Caleb Parker, who died at the Long Branch Hospital less than two weeks ago.
Mrs. Anderson, whose husband, Garrett A Anderson survives, was born 68 years ago near Holmson and spent nearly all of her life in Monmouth County. She is survived by nine children, five sons and four daughters: John and Holmes Anderson of Holmson, Corrine's and Allen C of Freehold, Harry of Pleasant Grove, Mrs. Frank Parker, Mrs. David Reynolds, Mrs. John Taylor and Mrs. George Quigg of Freehold.
Rev. A C Wright officiated at the funeral services, held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the house. Interment was made in Maplewood Cemetery".
