Jewel Napp Scowden, 86, formerly of Delphi, died 11:55 am Thursday October 27 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare.
She was born January 10, 1925 in Stonewall, Mississippi to the late Jessie L. and Mary Robert Gough Napp. On January 19, 1946 she married Chester P. Scowden in Stonewall. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1999. Twelve siblings also preceded her death.
Surviving are three sons, Ron Scowden (sp: Mary) Delphi, Larry Scowden (sp: Jeanine) Delphi and Bob Scowden (special friend: Marilou) Delphi: 3 daughters, Joyce Whitman (sp: Weldon) Delphi, Barbara Haber (sp: Ken) Fredrick, Maryland and Sandy Harlock, Clinton, Iowa; seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
