Hazel Drum Leaper was the daughter of the late James O. Drum and Mamie Abernathy Drum. She was retired from Southern Devices and was a member of New Salem Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Grover Drum, Earl Drum, and Jerry Drum, and three sisters, Ruby Carter, Francis Burnette, and Helen Cox.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred Leaper of the home; one son, Ronnie Leaper of Hiddenite; one brother, James Drum and wife Glenda of Ellendale; three sisters, Jean Sipe and husband Junior of Taylorsville, Dorothy Lowery and husband Carl of Salisbury, and Carolyn Black of Mt Holly; and one grandchild, Danielle Leaper of Hickory.
