Belzora was the daughter of John Patton "Pat" Dehart and Samantha Elizabeth Taylor. She was born at home in Macon County.

She married David Frank Burchfield on 02 Sep 1886, Stecoah Township, Graham County, NC. Performed by: D.A. Taylor, Justice of the Peace. W.G. Cable, Johnnie H. Hyde and W.A. Crisp, witnesses.

Belle and Frank would begin their young married life in Graham County, later moving to Cherokee County. Frank would become a minister in 1906 while they were living in the Tuskeegee Precinct of Graham County. By 1930, he and Belle had moved to Gaston County where they would remain until their deaths.

Belle would die at Gaston Memorial Hospital from health related problems. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank in 1963.

She was 96-years of age.
