FUNERAL SERVICES FOR RANDOLPH ASHFORD
EDMOND—Randolph Ashford, for many years a resident of this city, died at the Confederate Soldier's home at Ardmore, April 18, aged ninty-four years. He was a native of Virginia and at the time of his death was the last surviving member of the Confederate army in this city. For a number of years he made his home with Mrs. S. D. Shepherd, a granddaughter. Since the death of Mrs. Shepherd, until recently, he remained in the Shepherd home.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon, Rev. George Drake of Drumright, former pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Ramay. The remains were taken to the old home at Clarence, Mo., for interment.
