Mrs. D.L. DeVane, 76, a resident of Yuma for the past 45 years, passed away at her home, 278 First avenue, at 1:20 o'clock this morning, following a heart attack, it was announced at the O.C. Johnson mortuary.
Funeral services will be held at the Johnson chapel tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. R.C. Acheson officiating. Interment will take place in the Yuma cemetery.
Born in Clinton, North Carolina, July 26, 1864, as Alberta Lizzelle, she married Mr. DeVane 51 years ago.
Surviving are the husband,
a daughter, Mrs. Laura Prosser of Glendale, Calif.,
three grand-children
and two sisters,
Mrs. Adelaide Pearsall
and Mrs. Margaret E. Williams,
who live in the East.
Mrs. Prosser and her husband, Joe Prosser, former Yuman and now prominent in coast aeronautical circles, arrived from the coast today.
