BRANDON - Vicky R. Stevens, 56, died Sunday evening, October 23, 2011, at Vermont Respite House, Williston.

Born April 21, 1955, in Lincoln, Neb., she was the daughter of the late John J. Leupp and Esther M. (Crapser) Leupp.

Vicky attended Waterloo High School, Waterloo, N.Y. She became a resident of Brandon in 1982, moving here from Chittenango, N.Y. She was the owner of Vicky Stevens Real Estate and had worked at various shops including Shapiro's and Pinewood Garden Center.

She was a member of Brandon Chamber of Commerce.

Vicky enjoyed a wonderful childhood as her parents made every weekend an adventure including camping, swimming, fishing, boating and snowmobiling.

Surviving family members include her mother of Canastota, N.Y.; two sons, John A. McCann and his wife Kate of Montpelier and Richard A. Stevens and his wife Jenn of Pittsford; two brothers, Ronald Leupp of Canastota, N.Y., and Mark Leupp of Rome, N.Y.; a half-sister, Connie Coleman of Benton, La.; five grandchildren, Kasi McCann, Nora McCann, Isabell Stevens, Madisin Stevens and Keegin Stevens; many cousins; extended family and her best friend, Carolyn Hayes.

She was predeceased by her father in 2003 and a half-brother, Donald Dewey.

Vicky was very appreciative of family and friends, for all their kindness, prayers and support.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the Brandon Congregational Church with the Rev. Richard White, pastor, officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.

Memorial donations may be made to the Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 South Main St., Middlebury.
