Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery Wednesday at 2 p.m. for Taft resident Toynette "Toy" M. Dyer, 69. The

Mrs. Dyer was born to Wiley and Nellie Nelson on July 20, 1926 in Wheeler County, Texas, and passed away at her home on May 24, 1996.

She went to School in Spring Lake, Texas and was first baptized in 1934 when she was eight years old. She married Alfred O. Dyer on April 4, 1944 and had been married for 52 years.

She lived in Taft for 44 years and worked at Helen's Dress Shop for many years, retiring in 1986.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis E. Dyer, and a brother, Fred Nelson. Survivors include her husband, a son and his wife, her grandchildren, a brother, and a sister.

Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.

Donations in memory of Mrs. Dyer may be made to Kern Hospice.
